Kim was born in Alaska, shuffled around the U.S. in a Coast Guard family, and currently resides in Brooklyn.

When not at her studio in Greenpoint, Kim can be found designing textiles, playing surf guitar in her band Puppies, dancing all night long, biking around the city with a graffiti-covered helmet, finding the best beach this side of the Pacific, or sailing around New York Harbor.

Kim has been recognized by American Illustration 28, 29, 30, and 31, Society of Illustrators 55, the Clocktower Gallery, Art International Radio, and the School of Visual Arts. She graduated in 2009 from the School of Visual Arts.
