Kim was born in Alaska, shuffled around the U.S. in a Coast Guard family, and currently resides in Brooklyn. Her work appears in various formats: illustrations, typography, drink menus, zines, comic books, posters, t-shirts, and paper maché sculpture. Her music project, Puppies, combines performance and visual media. They have produced self-published zines, stickers, and comics. She frequently collaborates with Killer Acid and Giant Squid Letterpress. Kim has been recognized by American Illustration 28, 29, and 30, Society of Illustrators 55, the Clocktower Gallery, Art International Radio, and the School of Visual Arts. She graduated in 2009 from the School of Visual Arts.
